Overview

An integrated legal framework for Residence, Work Permit & Citizenship

In foreign investment, senior employee transfers and family relocation processes, immigration law cannot be addressed in isolation; it must be planned together with corporate structuring, tax, employment law, and compliance.

From application strategy to document preparation, and from the design of internal roles to renewals and family member processes, we manage the file in a manner aligned with your commercial objective.

Why Köksal?

Status security managed in two countries, in two languages

Most delays in immigration files stem from missing documents and the flow of paperwork between two countries. With our Berlin and İstanbul offices, we manage documents in parallel; we give the employee a process in their own language and the employer a single point of contact.

  • Command of employer criteria and quota practice
  • Parallel document management along the Germany-Türkiye axis
  • Integration of the real estate and investment components in citizenship matters
  • Effective appeal practice against rejection decisions
  • Permit portfolio management at corporate scale

The application is made through the employer; capital, employment-ratio, and wage thresholds must be met. Missing documents and an incorrect position definition are grounds for rejection. We build the application strategy according to the company's structure and manage the process end to end.

It is a status granting highly qualified labour and investors the right to indefinite work and residence; criteria such as academic career, investment size, and contribution to employment are considered. We prepare the eligibility analysis and the application file together.

The combination of visa, residence, and work permit varies according to the duration and nature of the assignment; the EU Blue Card and intra-corporate transfer (ICT) are frequently used routes. We plan the correct status while also taking into account the recent facilitations in German immigration law.

With a complete file, the process is generally concluded within a few weeks to a few months; the biggest source of delay is missing documents. We build a timeline backwards from the start date and file the application at the right moment.

In practice, a certain capital/turnover level and the employment of Turkish staff per foreign national are required; there are exceptions depending on the position. We run the criteria analysis before the application and, where necessary, bring the structure into conformity.

Acquiring real property at the qualifying amount, together with a valuation and an undertaking not to sell, turns into an application for exceptional citizenship. We run the title-deed and application stages from a single point, and assess family members within the same plan.

A second application filed without analysing the grounds for rejection will also be rejected. Between a timely objection and a strengthened new application that closes off those grounds, we choose whichever route will produce the fastest result for your file.
