You are not obliged to hand over everything unguarded. The EU Data Act lets you protect trade secrets — attaching proportionate safeguards, and in exceptional cases withholding specific data — and it bars the recipient from using the shared data to build a competing product. Build those protections into the sharing interface and terms rather than relying on goodwill.
